Are you a Personal Licence Holder?

The Government is aiming to remove the requirement for Personal Licence holders to renew their licence every 10 years via the Deregulation Bill, which is currently before Parliament.

New legislation is  due to be implemented in the Spring of 2015. The Home Office has confirmed a ‘light-touch’ renewal process (fee-free) for those affected licence holders whose licences expire between February 2015 and whenever the de-regulation of renewals takes effect.

Contact your local district or borough council to find out more.

Remember – you apply to the Council who issued the original licence to you, even if you have moved areas since.
