COMPETITION: Help warn people about the dangers of Loan Sharks

Eastern Savings & Loans and The England Illegal Money Lending Team, are calling on all budding film makers to help them warn people about the dangers of Loan Sharks, and the benefits of Credit Union membership.

  • Their competition is open to individuals and groups of no more than 8 people.
  • Entrants must be over the age of 16.
  • At least one applicant in each entry must live or work in Ipswich or study in Ipswich.
  • Entries must be between 4-5 minutes.

The short film can focus on any aspect of:

  • Loan Sharks.
  • Credit Unions.
  • Or budgeting and saving.

This can be conveyed using a variety of visual formats such as acting, singing or animation etc. and in any genre.

The Short film must be suitable for viewing by all, and not contain any defamatory, or offensive language.

The Stages

First Stage

Complete the application form, create a storyboard or overview each scene, and sign the Terms & Conditions.

The application form, and signed terms & conditions must be submitted by email to becca@eslcu.co.uk by 30th January 2015.

Second Stage

The judging panel will shortlist entries. £100 will be awarded to each shortlisted idea to produce a full submission. Funds will be available via a pre-paid Visa card.

Submit your short film by 16th March 2015 by private settings on YouTube, and send ESLCU the link with contact details of all members of the group, or upload the film direct via email to becca@eslcu.co.uk.

Final Stage

The judging panel will choose the winner on 20th March 2015, and £250 will be awarded to the winning entry. On Tuesday 31st March the winning entry and shortlisted entries will be invited to a celebration and press engagement event at Eastern Savings & Loans Town Centre shop.
