Yekta Foods recalls Sommak spice because it contains illegal dyes

Yekta Food Ltd has recalled its Sommak spice because it contains two illegal dyes known as Orange II and Sudan.  Orange II and Sudan dyes are red dyes that are used for colouring solvents, oils, waxes, petrol and shoe and floor polishes.

The product being recalled from customers is:

Product: Sommak
Country of origin: Iran
Batch number: 25152
Pack size: 150g
‘Best before’ end: 30 August 2016

If you have bought the above product, do not use it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Yekta Foods Ltd has recalled the product. Point-of-sale recall notices have been displayed in the relevant stores. These notices explain to customers why the product has been recalled.
