Tarmac Rogue Traders Operating in Suffolk

Suffolk County Council Trading Standards is warning residents to be on their guard for a rogue tarmac gang who are operating in the area. The warning comes after Trading Standards Officers have received information that a  tarmac gang was visiting properties in the Baylham area.

The workmen operate by knocking on doors and asking residents if they would like a quote to have their driveways block paved or laid with tarmac stating that they either have material left over from a previous job or that their vehicle has broken down and they need to use the tarmac on it before it goes off.

Trading Standards officers are advising people to treat these people with caution, be on your guard and do not request a quote.

If you would like work to be carried out on your home Trading Standards recommends that you visit Checkatrade.

Anybody who has any information on doorstep traders operating in their area can call Trading Standards on 03454 040506 or the Police on 101.
