Recall: ASDA Extra Special Camembert de Pays

Asda is recalling its Extra Special Camembert de Pays as a precautionary measure due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria monocytogenes is a bacterium that can cause foodborne illness, particularly among vulnerable groups – these are pregnant women, unborn and newborn babies, those over 60 years old and anyone with a weakened immune camembert 2.JPG

Use by dates: 14, 21 and 28 February 2016

No other Asda products are known to be affected.


Presence of Listeria monocytogenes can cause foodborne illness.


If you have bought the above product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the nearest Asda store for a full refund or call Asda customer relations 0800 952 0101.
