Mamas & Papas Issue Notice regarding Armadillo Flip pushchairs (seat can slip backwards)

Mama & Papas have issued the following notice:

We have identified a minor technical issue with the Armadillo Flip and Armadillo Flip XT.

We are in the process of contacting customers to invite them to visit a Mamas & Papas store or arrange a free home collection so we can conduct a full test and, if required, make a minor technical adjustment to rectify the issue.

We would like to apologise to customers and stress that the issue does not pose a safety risk. We take product quality and assurance very seriously and the safety of our customers is always our primary concern.

What is the precise nature of the issue?

When the baby is parent-facing and is being pushed, in a very small number of cases, the seat can slip backwards. The issue is caused by a loose catch which can be rectified quickly by a Mamas & Papas technician.

In a very small number of cases, we’ve identified a loose catch on the Armadillo Flip and Armadillo Flip XT. While not dangerous, this can mean that the seat slips backwards slightly when the baby is facing you and being pushed. Please come into any of our stores who will immediately return it to the service centre for a full technical inspection and repair if necessary. No, the issue does not put the child in danger if your pushchair is being used in line with our guidance. There are no reports of any children being injured.
