RH Amar has identified a labelling error affecting Mary Berry’s Horseradish Sauce 160g. The label does not declare the presence of sulphites making it unsuitable for people with a sensitivity to sulphites.

As a precautionary measure, we are recalling affected date codes from customers. No other Mary Berry products are known to be affected.

What you should do

Please do not consume this product if you have a sensitivity to sulphites.

Please contact 01494 895507 to arrange a replacement sample to be sent out.

Alternatively you can return the affected product to Tesco where a full refund will be provided.

Benefit Cosmetics Recalls Gimme Brow Eyebrow Gel

The following message has been issued by the manufacturer:

Benefit Cosmetics is committed to the highest levels of quality and doing what’s right for our customers. Out of an abundance of caution, we are initiating a voluntary recall of our Gimme Brow product after discovering that recent batches of the product did not meet our stringent quality standards.

If applied in its normal usage on the brows, the Gimme Brow product doesn’t involve any risk. However, if it comes into contact with the eyes, it could lead to eye irritation.

B&Q Safety Notice: Mac Allister 3X6 Combination Ladder

The following notice has been issued by the retailer:

IMPORTANT – B&Q would like to draw all customers’ attention to a vital safety feature of this ladder, in order to avoid risk of serious injury.

This product was on sale between 25 July 2016 and 5 September 2017.

B&Q has identified the omission of an important section of the assembly instructions for this ladder relating to the blue locking bars and the bottom stabiliser bar (summarised in the illustrations on the right).

  1. ensure the bottom stabiliser bar is fitted correctly before any use
  2. A: When used in ‘A-frame’ mode: Ensure top rung is located fully into the top brackets; B: When used in ‘Stairway’ mode: Ensure the desired rung is located fully into the top brackets
  3. open the ladder to ensure that the two sections are spread fully
  4. insert the blue locking bars into the corresponding holes and tighten as detailed in the revised manual available from the website below

Failure to follow this set up could result in collapse of the ladder and possible serious injury.

If your ladder does not have the blue locking bars or the bottom stabiliser bar, do not use it.

Boots recalls dummies due to manufacturing fault

The following notice has been issued by the retailer:

The health and safety of our customers and patients is always our highest priority. We’ve discovered a potential manufacturing fault in two Boots Baby Soothers which might cause a small tear in the silicone teat. As a precautionary measure we are recalling these two Boots Baby Soothers and we are asking customers to return these products to our stores immediately for a refund or replacement with a similar item.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our customers and would like to offer our reassurances that as soon as the fault was identified as part of our quality control process we immediately removed these lines from sale.
