Recall: Lactalis – Infant milk powders

The following notice has been issued by the manufacturer:

A warning on suspected contamination of three infant milk powders has led the company LNS to proceed since December 2, 2017 to a product recall.

On the 21st of December, in a precautionary measure, Lactalis Group has decided, in consultation with the Health Authorities, a further product recall, to include all infant and nutritional products manufactured or conditioned since 15/02/17 in the Craon factory.

We wish to extend our sincerest apologies to the families affected. We are well aware of the seriousness of the situation and fully understand the anxiety and inconvenience that have been caused.

We’re sorry to say our “Heated Hugs” that you pop into the microwave have incorrect heating instructions on the packaging.

There is a risk that the pouch could over heat whilst in the microwave and as we take the safety of our customers seriously, we have taken the decision to immediately remove the product from our shelves.

If any of our customers have bought one of these as a gift or for themselves, we’d urge them to not use it and return it to one of our stores, even without receipt, for a full refund.

Despite loving huggable animals, we’re very sorry to any customers for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

The product has been on sale in Poundland and ROI Dealz stores for £5 and €6 from the end of November.
